Presently, a knowledge explosion is being ushered in our midst especially in Engineering and technology. We are working with a vision of Vikasit Bharat 2020, to bring progressive changes in Science, Engineering, and Technology which will bring progress in mechanical engineering and prosperity to our country. Throughout the year, our dedicated team of faculty and students has tirelessly worked towards advancing the frontiers of mechanical engineering. Our commitment to excellence has propelled us to new heights, and as the Head of Department, I am proud to witness the fruits of our collective efforts.

It is great to notice interesting events taking shape frequently at our campus. Throughout the year, strong partnerships with industry leaders and other academic departments have been fostered. These collaborations have not only enriched our academic environment but have also provided unique opportunities for our students, to engage in real-world projects, industry-institute interaction, industrial training as per the curriculum, guest lectures by eminent industry professionals thereby bridging the gap between theory and practice. Also, mechanical students who are budding technocrats are kept abreast with the latest industry practices keeping in norm with industry 4.0.

VISION OF THE DEPARTMENT

Striving continuously in pursuit of excellence in imparting knowledge with skills in Mechanical Engineering at the diploma level to improve the opportunities in employment and higher learning.

MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT

M1: Use of technology enhanced tools and techniques by motivated and qualified faculty for enhancement of knowledge, understanding of principles, concepts and latest trends in mechanical engineering.

M2:  Modernization of workshops and laboratories as per the curriculum specified by the State Board of Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh.

M3: Conduct of laboratories, guest lectures, industrial visits and industrial training for better understanding of critical concepts of Mechanical Engineering.

M4: Provide opportunities for developing multidisciplinary skills, communication skills, professional attitude and ethics.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs) 

PEO1: Fundamental knowledge of mathematics, Basic sciences and basic interdisciplinary engineering to apply day to day challenges in the field of mechanical engineering. 

PEO2: Knowledge in the principles, concepts, and techniques in mechanical engineering area to solve contemporary issues.

PEO3: Applications of the principles, concepts, and techniques in mechanical engineering area to solve contemporary issues and gain on hand experience. 

PEO4: Effective Communication on activities regarding planning, designing, manufacturing, and servicing functions with engineering community

PO1- Basic and Discipline Specific Knowledge: To apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to Engineering Problems.

PO2- Problem Analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods mechanical engineering problems for meaningful solutions 

PO3- Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for well defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specific needs.

PO4- Engineering tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate techniques to conduct standard tests and measurements. 

PO5- Engineering Practices for Society, Sustainability and Environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

PO6- Project  Management:  Use  engineering  management  principles  individually,  as  a  team member or as a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

PSO1- Foundation of Computer System: Ability to understand the principles and working of computer systems and can assess the hardware and software aspects of computer systems.

PSO2- Foundation  of  Software  development: Ability  to  understand  the structure  and  development  methodologies  of  software systems. Possess professional skills and knowledge of software designing process. Familiarity and practical competent with a broad range of programming language and open source platforms.

PSO3- Foundation of mathematical concepts: Ability to apply mathematical methodologies to solve computation tasks, model  real world problem using appropriate data structure and  suitable  algorithm, methodologies in developing computer related problem solutions as well as apply them in establishing new firms in small scale with the help of experience gained as part of industrial training.

Office of the Principal deals with all administrative matters of the staff, students and institution. It consists of Administrative Officer, Office Superintendent, Hostel Manager, Senior Assistant, Junior Assistant and Typist. Administrative Officer is drawing and disbursement officer, who is taking care of all government budget related aspects.
